Living in Florida has it’s pluses, namely shorts, tshirt and flip-flop weather smack dab in February. While much of the United States is experiencing some of the worst storms in my lifetime, we are very fortunate to have tomato-growing weather. Though, before you think I’m gloating too much, I must remind you that we have weather that’s inhospitable for 4 months out of the year, namely, June, July, August, September where it’s so hot, that the only way to go outside is to wrap your entire head with a towel soaked in ice water.

The boys have been obsessed with wanting to play in snow – they’ve actually only touched snow ONCE in their lives, but it really didn’t count because we were in Mount Dora, Florida (about 30 minutes north of Orlando) for a “Winterfest” a couple of years ago, and they brought in snow machines to make sled runs for the kids. But the sun was out in full force and ended up turning the snow into ice and instead of a leisurely sledding experience, it was more like kid catapult on ice. Quite fun to watch, I should add.

So the boys decided that if they couldn’t get snow, we were going to make it. In the Blendtec Total Blender (they watched something on Youtube I guess)
