Giveaway: Sport Berkey Water Purifier

For the past few weeks, we’ve been using the Sport Berkey Portable Water Purifier ($29) every time we’re outside of the house. Not only does it save us money (and the environment) from bottled water, but purification system that Berkey is known for is the same technology in this portable sports water version.

The bottle’s filter is designed to remove and/or dramatically reduce a vast array of health-threatening contaminants from questionable sources of water, including remote lakes and streams, stagnant ponds and water supplies in foreign countries where regulations may be sub-standard at best.

It requires no electricity or water pressure to use. As the bottle is pressed, the source water is forced through the filter. This exclusive filter element is impregnated with proprietary “absorbing” media that promotes IONIC “absorption” of pollutants within the micro-porous element, such as dangerous heavy metals.

The Sport Berkey Portable Water Purifier has a shelf life of 50 years so it will be around to provide you pure water for a long time. The filter will last:

-Water from any source: 160 refills
-Municipal water: 640 refills

Filter refills are $17.

How powerful is this IONIC ADSORPTION MICRO FILTRATION SYSTEM? This advanced technology was developed, refined, and proven through diligent, investigative research and testing performed by water purification specialists, researchers and engineers. The media within the filter element removes contaminants by a surface phenomenon known as “adsorption” which results from the molecular attraction of substances to the surface of the media. As the bottle is pressed, the source water is forced through the filter.

Would I recommend the Sport Berkey? Absolutely. I can be at peace knowing that no matter where we are, we can have safe, clean drinking water. No more nasty water fountains, expensive bottled water or questionable water sources. Plus, this is the perfect product for camping, sports, emergencies and natural disasters.
