Do you still order from Saffron.com? Right now, it looks like they're running a special on their vanilla beans and the price is so good that it's hard to believe. Just wondering if you still recommended them.

Vanilla-orange custard

I'm starting culinary school next month and though I'd get some vanilla beans to try in some recipes. I love creme brulee and this is a great variation. Just add sugar (I like a mixture of brown and regular) pull out the torch and caramelize. DELICIOUS!

I love pound cake made with vanilla beans. My mom makes one with a swirl of vanilla, a swirl of spice and nuts on top. It is delicious. I hope I win.

The variety of recipes on this list just proves my thesis -- vanilla makes *anything* taste better, whether it's chocolate cake, oatmeal cookies or roasted quail!
