Jaden - I have been enjoying your blog -- was directed here through Michael Ruhlman's featured link for Steamy Kitchen. I love your Friday Favorites and especially the Knork! I am an inventor and "idea person" and wondered if you would visit my website (DiningStones.com) and blog (link posted on front page of site). I hope you like my invention and maybe consider it for your Friday Favorites list some day. I wish you continued success!

Knork! I grew up with them. My father returned from the second world war without a right arm. He had a favourite bone handled fork that he put a knife edge on so he could cut his own meat. It was really sharp so us kids knew not to use it for fear of getting cut. Come to think of it dad had many techniques and ways to get things done by himself. He had to give up fishing though because he could not bait his own hook. he built his own garage cutting and hammering with one arm. Thanks for stirring up some memories.

Ooh--I've got to try the no-melt ice cream. I hate when ice cream turns to soup.
