Such a tacky image….but I really do suck at Photoshop. My image was supposed to convey that TLC is giving away one Steamy Kitchen cookbook every day of the week — you can enter every day! I’ve also posted one of my favorite recipes from the book, Sweet and Sour Lychee Meatballs. To enter the contest, all you have to do is comment telling me what your favorite comfort food is!

Enter to win a STEAMY KITCHEN COOKBOOK over at TLC!

(not here – enter over at TLC’s site!)

My comfort food is roast beef and mashed potatoes with gravy. I have your cookbook, but hoping to win it for my class. They will love using it. We read your blog. It is great!

My ultimate comfort food is my mom’s oxtail beef stew. It never tastes the same because she changes up the recipe everytime she makes it based on what she feels like adding. If she wants a more asian flavor, it’s soy sauce based. If not, it’s more tomato based. Then with big hunks of oxtail, cooked in her compression cooker until the meat is falling off the bone….it’s so good over rice or thin asian noodles. I would love to win your cookbook! I’ve been meaning to buy it at the bookstore…but in true asian fasion, why buy it when you could get it for free! =D

My favorite comfort food is a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. When I lived in Taiwan I could find American Cheese and cans of cans of tomato soup at the President store and when I was a little homesick I would make this for lunch.
