$25,000 to Share Our Strength

17.2 million American children face hunger each year.

If you break that down, that’s almost 1 in 4 kids.

As many of you know, one of my favorite charities is Share Our Strength, an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America. This month, I’m so honored to have partnered with Quaker Oatmeal and Goodbite, along with several other bloggers, to bring you a fundraiser that will raise up to $25,000 for Share Our Strength.

$25,000 = 75,000 meals.

It’s simple. There’s no contest, no voting….just a few clicks on your part.

Head to Quaker’s Create Your Day website and in just a few clicks, create your own oatmeal flavor combination. Every oatmeal creation earns Share Our Strength $1.00.

Will you please take just a few seconds to help us earn a dollar?

Here’s my oatmeal creation:

SOS is an amazing organization. We’ve teamed up with them as well for our Stir It 28 food blogger Haiti relief project. It’s awesome to help this org help others!

I created one for my friend and one for myself –
We both got the “Honor roll oatmeal” – cinnamon and spice oatmeal topped with dried cranberries, blueberries and walnuts!! Yummm…
I’m still doing some left over work for my class and I could use a bowl of it RIGHT. NOW. (1:28 am..lol)
This is such an easy way to help feed hungry children…Thanks for giving me an opportunity to participate too!! πŸ™‚

I did it, but they missed with the peaches;)

I love grits with dinner but realized no one uses oatmeal for a main course or to supplement the main course.

Although oatmeal raisin cookies sandwiching ice cream are a killer dessert.

Thinking…..there’s got to be a way to make a good oatmeal entree.

It sure is a wonderful organization! Tastefully Simple is also donating $1 for each box of For The Love of Cookies (Chocolate Chip, Almond, and Toffee Cookie Mix) to Share Our Strength.
