Quantcast Classes | Jaden's Steamy Kitchen

Jaden's Steamy Kitchen

Modern Asian Home Cooking

Classes

I currently teach at three cooking schools:

  • The Rolling Pin in Brandon, Florida: Dave West and his staff are just simply amazingly efficient and friendly. The classes are held in their huge studio kitchen (most of the photos on this page are in their kitchen) - which I've renamed as my dream kitchen as it has every single gadget and appliance ever made. (813) 653-2418

  • The Chef's Table/MT's in Sarasota, one of Florida Trend Magazine's top 20 best new restaurants. (941) 360-0007

  • The Epicurean Culinary Academy in Los Angeles, California. (310) 659-5990

All the classes are hands-on...meaning you get down and dirty in the kitchen with me. We'll chop, fry, steam and stir. After creating the dishes, we will have a sit-down dinner + wine featuring our very own creations. All of the classes are limited in the number of participants, usually 15-20. Please call early to reserve your space - almost all of my classes sell out. If you would like to sign up, call each of the cooking schools to register.

Food Styling and Photography is a talent and passion for Chef Jaden. As you know, her classes are fun and tasty. Now is your chance to learn what and how she styles and photographes food for her newspaper column and Steamykitchen.com. Tonight you will make Crab & Fuji Apple Salad with Vietnamese Dressing, Firecracker Shrimp with Sweet Chili Sauce, and Grilled Chicken with Mango-Melon Salsa. If you have ever wanted to learn how to make your food look drool-worthy, come join this special class. We will cook, style, photograph and feast. She will teach you how to make your food look like it leapt from the pages of Gourmet Magazine. This class is great for people who want to make a family cookbook, improve your food blogging or just learn how to make your food look mighty delicious. Bring your camera dSLR or digital point and shoot to class! Remember, you eat with your eyes first. Seats are strictly limited!

Saturday, June 14th: IRON CHEF Competition: Battle of The WOK and GRILL! (Brandon, FL)

Please contact The Rolling Pin to register.

This is going to be a great showdown between Chef Jaden and Dr. BBQ. Kind of East meets West or Sampson vs. Goliath. You can be part of this event. Each Chef will have seven (7) cooks on their team. So the class is limited to 14 people. Teams will be drawn out of hat. Each team will produce 4 dishes; Appetizer, Main Course, Side Dish and Dessert. Each Chef will be given the "special ingredient" prior to the competition. The chef will then decide on recipes that use the special ingredient. Each group will then produce those recipes for the three judges and other team. The winners will hold the bragging rights until the next Iron Chef Competition. You really want to be the FIRST! This event is in a series of Iron Chef Style events with our guest chefs leading each team. Sign up early. Great Food, Lots of Fun, and "Friendly Competition".
