The perfect warming drink for winter season, and a great herbal remedy (and preventative!) for colds. It works by combining natural ingredients like apple cider vinegar, fresh herbs, spices, and raw honey to give your immune system a boost.
Finely chop the onion, garlic, ginger, turmeric, and jalapenos. Juice the lemon.
Place the red onion, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, turmeric, rosemary, thyme, black pepper, and jalapeno into a 1 quart jar.
Fill the jar with apple cider vinegar and close the jar. If it has a metal lid, use a piece of parchment paper between the lid and the jar to prevent rust.
Store the jar in a cool, dark place. Let the mixture infuse for at least three weeks.
After three weeks, strain the liquid through a fine-mesh strainer and mix in honey to taste. Store the final result in a clean jar.
