Poached Eggs in the Microwave

It's a pretty spectacular thing when you can create restaurant quality food at home, such as poached eggs. This style of cooking eggs often requires a technique when cooking on the stove top, but with this simple microwave poached eggs recipe, you will have eggs benedict quality eggs in under five minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 egg
  • cup of water
  • ½ tsp of vinegar
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions
 

  • Fill a microwave safe bowl with water and vinegar.
  • Crack one egg into the bowl and poke a small hole in the yolk with a cake tester or toothpick.
  • Cover with a plate and microwave at 50% powder for one minute.
  • Remove and check for doneness. Continue microwaving in 15 second intervals until the egg white it cooked through and the yolk is set.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper and enjoy!
