Techcrunch…Tech”munch”….heehee…get it?
I love Babette.
She’s insanely smart and rocks the safety vest look pretty damn hard* (photo at end of post)
Babette is also the one-woman show behind BakeSpace – one of the best food communties online (go check it out!) While we were at Rancho La Puerta together earlier this month, she convinced me to sign up for South by Southwest in Austin TX by seducing me with visions of all-you-can-eat cupcakes parties. Somehow we went from “let’s party in Austin” to “hey let’s host a one-day blogging seminar!” I think a bottle of wine that we snuck into the ranch had something to do with it.
So, we’re on.
I have to give a hat tip to Babette and Natanya Anderson of FeteandFeast.com (Austin-based food blogger) for organizing this entire panel and event. They’re doing all the hard work of making sure this seminar kicks ass. All I’ve done to contribute so far is committing to showing up! The cost is only $45 for a full day of learning and networking – now that’s a deal!
ooooh….and wait until you see who’s speaking!!!
BakeSpace.com and SteamyKitchen.com are proud to present the first-ever TECHmunch workshop for food bloggers on Saturday, March 13th in Austin, Texas.
If you’re a food blogger, this intensive one day event will bring you up-to-speed on all the latest tools and tactics for building buzz, improving SEO, growing your audience and making money from your hard work.
The 5-hour intensive workshop will be followed by a networking mixer with more than 40 giveaway prizes including KitchenAid appliances, cookbooks and gourmet chocolate. It will also feature hors d’oeuvres from Chef Shawn Cirkiel (Parkside Restaurant), and each attendee will receive a nifty gift bag.
Event co-produced by Natanya Anderson of FeteandFeast.com.

While all of the above speakers are confirmed, you never know what can happen in life. Specific workshop topics and speakers could change. This caveat applies to any event of this kind. Most events don’t make this sort of disclosure, but the team here at TECHmunch bends over backwards to be open and honest. Nuff’ said.
Got a question? You can reach us at: @BakeSpace or @SteamyKitchen
Notes on ticket prices: This event is intended primarily for food bloggers, who can attend at a discounted rate. If you represent a brand, marketing/PR firm, online publisher, or other non-blogger entity, please purchase a “Brand/Corporate Level” ticket. Thanks!

We snuck out of Rancho La Puerta, hired a taxi and went on a brewery tour of Tecate. I think I like this look!
