I LOOOOOOVE this product! Here’s why: chopped salads taste better. It’s easier to eat (do you know how ugly we all look when trying to stuff large lettuce leaves into our mouth!?) and when you chop ingredients up as much as possible, it releases more flavor and aroma. Think of a whole garlic clove vs. minced garlic through a garlic presser. The smaller you mince the garlic (i.e. more cell walls in garlic broken) the more intense the flavor and smell. Can you imagine how delicious and aromatic your salads will be!? I highly recommend. -jaden
About OXO
OXO was founded in 1990 on the philosophy of Universal Design, which means the design of products usable by as many people as possible. For OXO, that means designing products for young and old, male and female, lefties and righties and many with special needs. The goal of making products more usable forces us to first identify problems and inefficiencies of existing products (including our own!), not only in terms of comfort, but performance as well. This gives us the foundation to meet our commitment of making products that make a tangible improvement in peoples’ daily lives.
About the Salad Chopper with Bowl
Quickly transform everyday vegetables into appetizing and nutritious chopped salads with the OXO Good Grips Salad Chopper and Bowl. The Chopper has a soft, non-slip handle and two stainless steel blades that effectively slice lettuce, vegetables, cheese, fruit and more. The Bowl has a continuous curve that is in constant contact with the blades for efficient cutting, and the rim serves as a grip for rotating the bowl while chopping. The Bowl can also be taken directly to the table for serving. Simply assemble salad ingredients in the bowl, chop, dress and serve. At 5.5 quart capacity, the Bowl can accommodate up to 6 servings.
