Also, the Thermapen Mk4 is designed with a sensor very close to the tip of the probe, which makes it easy to take the temperature of thin meats. 

The Thermapen Mk4 is even waterproof so my kids can’t accidentally break it by putting it in the dishwasher anymore! LOL! The waterproof feature is also handy because I don’t have to worry about washing it off or dropping it in water.
