Hi. I am a graduate with no job. I had to do menial jobs to earn something in order to learn graphic design. Since then I have been borrowing my friend’s system to do freelance jobs for people. Honestly, my reason for applying for the laptop does not even come close to the myriad of good reasons given by the other applicants. At point blank, I need it for college. My current chromebook died to the point of no return. My bank account balance is so miniscule that you need a microscope to see the balance, I cannot even afford to rent a laptop. Colleges do provide free laptops but I have been stuck on the waitlist forever. Lastly, all my giveaway applications for iPads, Desktops, and Laptops have not been in my favor.

I am working to get my bachelor’s degree. I just finished my first year, but to get ahead I’ve opted to take summer classes. (my program usually on runs from sept-april). The summer classes are only online, so I have to use an old desktop belonging to my partner. My only problem is I have to work during the summer, I babysit/nanny. which means a lot of commuting and spending time at other peoples home. I’m working on getting myself a laptop for this. This seems like the perfect one, nice and lightweight, perfect for all the travelling. Winning this would make my summer much easier, and more enjoyable. Rather than getting something cheaper that I wouldn’t like as much.

My computer is old and outdated. It’s 20 years old and I have to go to the library use theirs. What takes me one hour to do could be accomplished on an Asus computer for about 10 minutes minus the frustration too.

Philippines is still ongoing to online classes and the activities at this new academic system mostly needs a pc or laptop such as using Ms Word, editing pdfs, surfing to web or making videos. Compared with some of the needs here, my need seems small. I have an all-in-one desktop computer. That means the processor and fan are in the monitor. When the fan comes on, it can drown out my microphone. If I am in a Zoom meeting, it is loud enough that others can’t hear. I leave it on mute most of the time but I do need to talk sometimes.

I’m currently taking a javascript course online and the laptop I use at the moment is really bad, it has a faulty Hard drive and a 4gb memory. Even if I use very little storage, it freezes randomly and the Blue screen of Death pops up. I need this laptop so I can continue learning javascript and maybe someday I could be the one to help others in situations like this. Thank you for considering.
