I’ve known Amazon.com since the days when the site was all text, and the logo was some funky “A” with a river running through it! In 1995, I worked in Business Development for a major Internet company. We were evaluating a partnership with Amazon. Back then, I didn’t see the potential in the “Earth’s Biggest Book Store” – who would want to buy books from the Internet when they couldn’t see the pages and feel the book? Boy, was I wrong!
That was TWENTY years ago.
These days, I rely on Amazon for our personal family purchases (we are Prime members) as well as for our business (we are part of their affiliate program). Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial
In addition to Amazon Prime, we use the Kindle Tablet for watching movies, reading books and browsing through cookbooks. It’s full-color, high definition, quad-core 2.2 ghz tablet is perfect for our family use.
Did you know the Kindle Fire has live tech support? I had to use it this morning – it really was a live person, talking with me via video chat from Seattle.
She helped me create profiles for Andrew and Nathan, complete with parental controls. She even offered to call me back later this afternoon to make sure that everything worked just fine.
