FAQs

Does the pancake batter have to rest?

Does it have to? No, it doesn’t, but is it better if it does? Totally! Allowing your pancake batter to rest give your batter time to thicken up, which will make sure no air bubbles escape which yields the fluffiest pancakes.

Can I use this microwave pancake method from a box mix?

You sure can! The batter that comes in a box is typically thinner and has a more liquid consistency than our recipe, but that is fine. Microwave you pancakes for 45 seconds, check it, and then continue to microwave for an additional 15 seconds.

Depending on how many watts your microwave is, which batter you are using, and what size the pancake is, your cooking times may vary. I encourage you to experiment and have fun and let us know what works best for you in the comments!
