FAQs
What kind of potatoes should I use?
Any potatoes will work great for this recipe! Have fun, experiment and let me know what you used in the comments. I used russet potatoes for their affordability and accessibility, but Yukon, sweet, or purple potatoes would also work well here.
How do I cut my potato into eighth?
Begin by cutting your potato in half. Then cut the two halves into quarters. Finally, cut the four quarters into eights. Be sure to cut them lengthwise so you have nice long wedges. If you potato is smaller and rounder, that will work just as well.
Are potato wedges in the microwave healthy?
Yes! Making potato wedges in the microwave at home is much healthier than buying them because they aren’t soaking in nasty inflammatory grease and aren’t fried. If you want to make this easy recipe even healthier, make a homemade ranch or ketchup so you know exactly what ingredients you are using and just how much of them.

You didn’t say whether to cover these while cooking. Should they be covered?

Microwave potato wedges take about 1.5 hours longer to make in the oven. Thanks
Tried this tonight
I followed the recipe. Because I like crispy wedges I placed them in my toaster oven for a few minutes. A recipe to repeat. Thanks for sharing.
