I am a student who came from a low income household and currently enrolled at a college university. My course or degree is mainly physics and I don’t have a resources(laptop) where I will compile my code (computational physics–major) for a later submission. My grandkids wanted a laptop, and all I could afford, was to give them my mother’s laptop she got before she passed in 2010. I’m a struggling single “Mimi” of 2 of the greatest grandkids you could ever meet, and was a single mother of a wonderful daughter, who, unfortunately, is going through the same struggles, except her son’s father was murdered when he was only 10 months old…so, I’m Mimi and have to step up to the dad role most of the time. Making the story sadder, and it’s all verifiably true, the man, my husband, who acted in a somewhat fatherly way to my grandkids, committed suicide in December 2020…just would be nice for them, because I won’t be able to probably ever afford it.

ive been trying to win a laptop for over 2 years now. i want so badly to give it to my son . he lost everything in a fire 3 days before xmas at 3 in the morning. he got out with his life his underwear one boot and one shoe. he hasn’t been able to recover yet from that and he needs something good to happen for him. fire is devastating and for those without insurance getting your life back is impossible. lifting up a young man now is going to benefit the future for others young and old. i feel obligated to help each other in this world, because thats my belief. imagine a world where we helped one another. what a wonderful world that would be. i like to live as an example to do goodness whenever i can . i know it feeds my soul and makes joy happen in what was a dark place.
