1. Steamy Kitchen Buddha Bowl

My Mom came over yesterday morning and brought me some homemade Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, made from beef shank (I think she used the Instant Pot?), tomato, Chinese five spice powder and stock. 

I’ll have to get the recipe from her! Mom is an amazing cook, and she writes her recipes on 3×5 recipe cards….in Chinese. And ughhh I cannot read Chinese! I’ve been in the US since I was 4 years old, so my schooling has always been in English. 

One day, I’ll sit down with Mom and go through her treasure trove of recipes and we’ll try our best to translate these home-cooking Chinese recipes into English. 

Anyways, see the Steamy Kitchen Buddha Bowl in the photo? It’s the perfect bowl for noodle soups. 

Last week, I had the amazing chance to soft-pitch and toss the idea of Buddha Bowls with a producer from a national television show. I have a really good feeling….I think we’re onto something!!
