How to Cut an Avocado

Learn how to cut an avocado in a few simple steps. A few slices of avocado can transform your Buddha Bowl into a fresh green bowl packed with healthy fats and fiber.

How to Cut an Avocado – Step by Step

1.Hold the avocado in one hand and cut long-ways around the pit.

2. Twist apart the two halves. To remove the pit whack your knife into the pit so it sticks and then twist the pit out. If you are going to save half of the avocado, save the half with the pit, it will stay fresh for a longer period of time!

3. Use a large spoon to scoop out the flesh of the avocado.

4. Using your knife, slice the flesh with flat side down on your cutting board.

Tips For Cutting Avocado

Another way to cut an avocado is to slice the avocado in half lengthwise and then cut a cross stitch pattern into the flesh to make cubes. Use a spoon to scoop out the pre-cubed avocado!
