There are so many different types of containers on Amazon, you can really get lost in the comments and reviews and then you don’t know which set to buy! Today, Buddha Bowl basics will show you which containers are our favorite for storing toppings and leftovers.

Buddha Bowl Basics

Buddha Bowl basics will teach you simple ways to save money and food in the kitchen. We are going to teach you about storing leftovers and why we love these Lock&Lock storage containers! This post isn’t even sponsored, these containers are just awesome.

The Best Containers For Storing Leftovers

  • Easy to use with a four lock sealing method
  • Made of glass
  • Freezer, dishwasher, microwave and oven safe
  • Comes in so many different sizes
  • Affordable

Glass is Good

Plastic containers are inexpensive, but they will not last as long as glass. Plastic tends to accumulate stains and absorb orders from food quickly. While you could opt for a higher quality plastic, glass is just going to last longer and is better for the planet.

These containers are made from Borosilicate glass, which allows them to withstand extreme cooling and freezing. This material is also stain/odor resistant and 10% lighter than tempered glass–makes them impossible to ruin or drop!

Save Space and Money in Your Kitchen

Get organized. Use these containers to empty out bags of food that would normally go stale from being open. Place multiple open bags in one big container! We find that emptying the contents and stacking containers helps save a lot on space and money.

Keeping your kitchen organized will help you know what food is good, what food is bad and what food you need to get from the store!

Storing Foods!

Here are some quick basics for storing our favorite Buddha Bowl ingredients.

Leafy Greens: wrap leafy greens in a damp paper towel, place in a container and refrigerate for up to a week

Bell Peppers: store cut bell peppers with the seeds and stems still attached, add a paper towel to the container to absorb moisture and refrigerate for 2-3 days

Crunchy Toppings: store any crunchy toppings–nuts, chips, freeze dried fruit, seeds, chickpeas–in a container and in the pantry for up to one month

If you have used these containers, or any other tips and recipes on my blog, then please rate it and let me know how it turned out in the comments below!
