Tips For Motivation

1. Set Goals

It is important to set goals because you can’t start achieving until you have made a goal for yourself. It is important to define what it is you want to achieve, make a commitment to yourself and follow through. 

However don’t overwhelm yourself. Start with setting small goals like making your bed in the morning or washing your face before bed. Creating and accomplishing small goals will help you begin to find flow and rhythm in your daily routine. 

I love using this planner because it is also a gratitude journal and it helps me acknowledge all of those small accomplishments at the end of my day.

2. Be Creative

I know I say this one often, but I think it’s important to be creative in your every day life. Find something fun and energizing in every day, like a random act of kindness towards a stranger or trying out a flavorful new recipe.

Something that I try to do every day is learn something new, whether that be a fact from the internet, the definition of a word, or someone else’s perspective on a matter that I care about. 

3. Technology

Technology is a beautiful thing! Use it. It might be tricky to get the hang of sometimes, but practice makes perfect. There are a lot of apps out there that can help you set, track and achieve goals, apps that will give you positive self-affirmations and apps that you can keep track of appointments with. You can even get an app for your pets appointments!

4. Clean 

Clean your home, clean your car, clean the office, maybe rearrange things in a new way and I swear you will feel ready to take on any challenge! It is important to be living in a space that makes you feel ready to seize the day.

5. Positive Self-Talk

Be kind to yourself! When you make a mistake, forgive yourself easily and do better next time. 

Celebrate yourself! People often times brush over the simple tasks like getting out of bed or eating three meals a day. Be proud of yourself for taking care of you. 

I keep this book “You Are Doing a Freaking Great Job,” on my desk to help keep me motivated in fun unique way. It also makes a great gift for someone who needs the reminder!
