Should I Grease the Inside of my Mug?

This is optional! I have found that the cake does tend to stick to the inside of the mug a bit, however, nothing that can’t be scrubbed off once you finish devouring your cake. If you want an easier clean up, use a light coating of non-stick spray.

Can I Double the Nutella Cake Recipe in a Bowl?

Absolutely! Double this recipe and make it in a microwave safe bowl. We haven’t done much experimenting with doubling this recipe, so cooking times may vary, but just keep an eye on the cake! If you do double this recipe, be sure to let us know in the comments below!

Do I Need to Change the Power Level on my Microwave?

Not for this recipe!

However, there are many different types of microwaves and yours could potentially be more powerful than mine. So, if you try this microwave chocolate cake and it comes out rough and chewy, that means it was overcooked. Try cooking for a shorter period of time, checking at 45 seconds.
