I have something very exciting to share with you!
As you may know, it’s not easy being a super small business owner.
Our budget does not include line items for big PR firms to handle media relations, or fancy strategy consultants to help with big picture thinking.
We’re a scrappy company, plugging in highly focused specialists when we need.
Last week, I packed my bags for my first major trip in the past year and half (damn you, covid!), and flew to NYC to refine our PR strategy and meet members of the press.
How did it go?
OMGGGG….this is my face on a billboard facing 6th Avenue in NYC!!!
Whaaaat???!!!
I couldn’t believe it!
As I was meeting editors, producers and journalists, pitching them a story on Steamy Kitchen — all I had to do was point to the billboard and say, “that’s me!”
It was such a surreal moment seeing my face on such a grand scale!

Pumpkin Puree Freeze + Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
So, if you are anything like me, you bought a can of pumpkin puree for a recipe that only called for ½ a cup! Now you have a whole can of leftovers! Place the remaining pumpkin puree into ice cube trays, cover and freeze!
Once frozen, store in a freezer safe bag!
I love to make fall Pumpkin Pie Smoothies with these ice cubes, by adding coconut milk, frozen banana, pumpkin pie spice and a few of the pumpkin puree cubes! Blend for a creamy fall smoothie!
