Gourmesso provided the coffee and the Nespresso machine for the giveaway.
I was one of the very early adopters of Nespresso machines, having bought not only one for myself, but one for my brother and my Mom. After a few months of Nespresso espresso, we all quietly put our machines away.
At 75 cents per Nespresso capsule, it was just too expensive. Actually, back then, I think the capsules were even more expensive, close to 90 cents per.
I first heard of Gourmesso last year. They provide first-class espresso capsules compatible with the OriginalLine Nespresso machines, at 30% cheaper than Nespresso.
The coffee is fair trade, from the best Arabica and Robusta coffee beans from around the world, including blends from India, South America and Africa.
Gourmesso features 20 different varieties, which differ in flavor and intensity. Our product range currently comprises of 10 different espressos, 3 lungo varieties, a decaffeinated espresso and 6 flavored espresso blends.
Here are just some of the varieties:
- Lungo Latino Mezzo (mild taste and full crema. It has a wonderfully balanced flavor enhanced by the medium roast and balanced blend of Arabica and Robusta beans)
- Soffio Caramel (Finely ground Arabica and Robusta beans, mixed and roasted with care with a hint of caramel)
- Ristretto Blend Forte (This dark roast espresso, with an intensity of 10, is distinguished by its intense flavor and exceptional taste)
- Brasile Blend Dolce (very mild espresso with a balanced intensity of 3 and consists mainly of Arabica coffee beans from Brazil. Mild flavor and light citrus notes)
After testing a few of the Gourmesso varieties, we donated our Nespresso machine and the remaining Gourmesso pods to the administrators at my son’s middle school. They LOVED it! It was a very special treat for them, many of them having never tried making an espresso drink themselves before.
Instead of going out for a splurge at Starbucks, the school admins are now heading to the break room to enjoy a little Gourmesso.
We highly recommend the Gourmesso coffees. Not only are they 30% cheaper than Nespresso, but they offer free shipping on orders of $50 or more.
