Nespresso provided the Nespresso Pixie, Palermo and Milano for testing.
I’ve mentioned before on Steamy Kitchen my love for Nespresso. Years ago, I bought myself a Nespresso machine, my brother and my parents each a machine as well. I’m currently visiting my parents house, and Nespresso sent their adorable Pixie machine for us to test, along with 2 limited edition coffees – the Palermo and the Milano.
My parents love coffee. Correction – they love STRONG, aromatic, flavorful coffee. The Milano and Palermo is exactly in their sweet spot of coffee indulgence.
We sampled both blends, stirred in a touch of sugar and sipped, enjoying both with Italian cookies. The Palermo has an intensity of 11, and I’d describe it as a dynamic punch. It’s strong! Exactly what my parents love.
I prefer the Milano, with an intensity of 9. It’s balanced flavors linger – smooth, sweet and powerful. I added a little sugar in the raw to bring out more sweetness.
The Nespresso Pixie heats up in 25 seconds, the fastest of all of the Nespresso machines. It’s so small and efficient!
We’re giving away a Nespresso Pixie, to celebrate the limited editions of Palermo & Milano (hurry, whey they’re gone, they’re gone!)

I know. Stuffed squash sounds like the kind of thing you’d politely poke at at a dinner party, secretly wishing it was pizza. But hear me out. My version is rich, earthy, and straight-up sexy, in a way that makes you think of cozy autumn sweaters and glasses of red...
Sure. Plain beige hummus is cute. But did you know you can make hummus... stunning? I bet you didn't. This Purple Sweet Potato & Ginger Hummus comes to the party in velvet purple and refuses to leave until everyone’s staring. It’s bold. It’s vibrant. It’s the kind...
Most people don’t wake up thinking, "Today’s the day I make a radish butter terrine." But let's face it: you’re not most people. If you're here, then you're probably the kind of person who looks at a tub of grocery store butter and thinks, "Cute, but I can do better."...
