Giveaway: Wusthof Classic Ikon Santoku

I already use the Wusthof Ikon series chef’s knife and paring knife and for the past two weeks I’ve been testing out this Santoku. What I love about the Ikon series is that it’s one of the most balanced knives I’ve ever used. The handle is perfect for smaller hands – it just fits so comfortably. With larger knives, I feel like I’m constantly losing my grip (dangerous!)

This Wusthof Classic Ikon Santoku is my go-to blade for slicing vegetables. ~Jaden

Styled after the Japanese Cook’s Knife this blade is just right for preparing not only fine Asian but also Western cuisine. The hollow edge creates pockets of air which prevent extra thin or soft slices from sticking to the blade.

Classic Ikon was designed to marry style and functionality from handle to tip. The 2/3rd bolster allows you to sharpen the whole length of the blade.

The ultra-smooth polypropylene handle offers durability, resisting cracking and warping, while curving gently to nestle snugly in the user’s hand. To promote greater control, the balanced bolster contributes to safety and strength. The handle is finished off with a traditional triple rivet and exposed full tang.
