Where we live in Florida, it’s hot. Where my parents live, it’s hotter! During the extremely dry Las Vegas desert summers, drinking water throughout the day is an absolute must.
We just spent several days transitioning from the tropical, humid Florida hot to visit my parents in 111F “oven-like” temperatures. We had brought our double-walled Tervis tumblers on the trip, but found that the ice in the tumblers very quickly melted, leaving us with warm water to quench our thirst.
Of course, my Mom knows better. The plastic, see-through tumblers that we were using does not insulate nearly as well as her stash of stainless steel, double-walled, vacuum sealed travel mugs. We grabbed one of her metal mugs, filled it with a ice water and left it in the car while we ran our errands throughout the day. Five hours later, we were drinking ice cold water.
Tiger sent us their brand new travel mugs to try out. It’s perfect for keeping cold drinks cold, and hot drinks hot. Their stainless steel, vacuum tumblers are made in Japan, and will keep your coffee or tea hot for up to 6 hours at 138F.
The mugs are a beautiful, matte metal, with a flip top lid that seals very tightly. The lip where you drink is designed so that you can sip without spilling, which is important especially for hot beverages.
One important feature of the Tiger Travel Mugs is the super-clean finished surface, which keeps away rust, stains and odors. The mugs are easy to clean, dishwasher safe on top rack.
