With the kitchen under remodel, we’ve been cooking outdoors on a camping stove, bbq grill, and this microwave. Frankly, it’s been a life-saver. Without a real kitchen, I’ve had to rely on precision cooking in a microwave! The most used feature for us was the ability to cook at lower power. While most microwaves cycle turn on – turn off to mimic cooking at lower power, the Panasonic Microwave with Inverter Technology gave me the ability to cook foods perfectly.
Because of the Inverter Technology, we were able to get more bang for our buck in terms of nutritional value of our foods. I highly recommend this microwave! It’s the best time-saving tool in the kitchen and still retains the nutritional value of the foods.
We did a side-by-side comparison of 1) reheating dish 2) steaming broccoli.
1) Reheating dish: With our old microwave, we had to stop halfway during reheating, stir the dish, re-cover and finish reheating at a lower temperature (so that I don’t overcook.) The Panasonic microwave performed beautifully. All areas, including the middle and bottom of the the dish were warmed thoroughly. It was so nice to not have hot and cold areas!
2) Steaming broccoli: I used a silicon microwave steamer. My old microwave took an additional 30 seconds to finish cooking, but during the whole time, I was watching like a hawk to make sure I didn’t overcook! The Panasonic microwave cooked 30 seconds faster, the broccoli was bright vivid green!
