About Duchy Originals
Duchy Originals from Waitrose was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1992 to support sustainable food systems and organic farming. Every Duchy Originals product follows the Good Food Charter: that every product “Is Good”, “Does Good” and “Tastes Good”. All Duchy Originals products are made using sustainable farming methods and a donation from the sale of each item is given to The Prince of Wales’ Charitable Foundation, which raises money for charitable causes all over the world.
About the Products
In the U.S., Duchy Originals offers three shortbread varieties and their classic Oaten Biscuits, all of which are made with all-natural, non-GMO ingredients. These varieties include the classic Highland All Butter Shortbread, the Lemon All Butter Shortbread, the Stem Ginger All Butter Shortbread and Duchy’s original product, the Oaten Biscuit. All varieties are OU Kosher and suitable for vegetarians. No antibiotics or bovine growth hormones are used to produce the butter used in Duchy Originals recipes.
