Ninja provided a test and giveaway unit.
We own several Ninja products, including the original Ninja Magic Bullet, Ninja blender, the Ninja Cooking System and the Ninja Fryer. We use the Ninja Cooking System a lot in the summer, as it keeps our kitchen cooler, instead of using the oven or stove. We’ve always been a big fan of Ninja, creating powerful, affordable, smart products for the home cook.
This summer, we received the Nutri Ninja with Auto IQ to test out.

We make morning green smoothies for breakfast. Scott and I each have different recipes – I’m a kale/spinach person, and Scott prefers a sweeter smoothie, mixing in fruits with his greens. We also add in our own protein powders. The kids will do mostly fruit and some milk to go along with their normal breakfast.
Because of our unique recipes each morning, the Nutri Ninja is perfect for us. The included 18, 24 and 32 ounce single serve cups works for our family. Scott uses the largest 32 ounce, my smoothie is made in the 24 ounce and the boys share an 18 ounce smoothie.
The Nutri Ninja is loud – but so is my Vitamix and Blendtec. They are all loud and the dogs don’t like any of them 🙂
I really wanted to do a side by side comparison between the Vitamix and the Nutri Ninja, but my Vitamix does not have a single serve container, so it wasn’t really a fair comparison. What I can tell you is that the Nutri Ninja is more convenient for our family. Instead of making one smoothie at a time, and then rinsing the large Vitamix container, we just make 3 smoothies, one after another. The cups are dishwasher safe, so we just do a quick rinse.
What’s Auto IQ? It’s a sensor in the Ninja that prevents over processing and allows for even blending without having to stop and scrape down the sides. The Auto IQ will blend, pause and pulse, as needed. With many of the other brand of blenders we tested all summer long, we had to stop the blender and scrape down the sides. I’ve even damaged my Vitamix by trying to rock it back and forth to get the ingredients evenly blended! (oops) Learn about Auto IQ here.
If you’re a family like ours, where each person likes a different smoothie concoction, this is the perfect blender for you. ~Jaden
